I have worked in the financial services industry since 2016 and became part of the Wealth Experts team after an acquisition in 2023.

I achieved my Diploma in Financial Planning in 2020 and aim to continue to Chartered status. Previously, I graduated with a First Class Honours in Business Management from Manchester Met and worked in a variety of roles before moving into the financial services industry.

I enjoy the role of paraplanning, even though most people have never heard of the role. I find the process or financial planning fascinating, and the range of information and learning involved in the role, and the industry as a whole, is consistently engaging.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I enjoy the diversity of financial planning topics as there are so many moving parts that make up people’s lives and financial plans. Especially where this can all feel too much for the client, there’s a real benefit in helping to improve and streamline their arrangements and work towards future plans and goals.

I enjoy that, within financial planning as a career, there’s a wealth of professional development, learning and qualifications. Also, there’s lots of learning opportunities now I’m working within the larger Wealth Experts team.

How do you most like to spend your time outside of work?

Mostly I am busy being mum taxi to my two kids. In any free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two huskies, which are also very time consuming. I also enjoy boxing and running, book clubs, watching stand up comedy and volunteering with a dog rescue.
